| Beta-Brite Display Failure
A few users of the MBC-1 have experienced an issue with the Beta-Brite display where the display appears to be dead. This issue began showing up in the field in mid to late 2003. Adaptive Micro Systems had a manufacturing problem on a number of Beta-Brite displays. They will repair the Beta-Brite if it is still within the one year warranty period. If the Beta-Brite displays any messages in red then it has not suffered this failure. If the display appears to be dead, perform this simple test:
If the display remains totally dark but you hear a beep then the Beta-Brite probably suffers from this defect and you should contact Adaptive Micro Systems about having the display serviced. Sine Systems cannot service the Beta-Brite. If the warranty period is in question, Sine Systems can usually confirm the invoice date of the Beta-Brite if it was purchased through us with the MBC-1. You will need to provide us with the address to which the system was shipped when it was purchased. |
