Community Forum Online

September 2, 2010

Sine Systems is pleased to make our new community forum available. We are a small company with a large customer base and we need an effective means of communication. By opening the conversation to the group, we hope to provide you with service in a more efficient manner in a forum that is available all day, every day.

Access the community forum from the Support menu or navigate directly to it at forum.sinesystems.com.

The community forum is currently a functional beta. We will make adjustments as needed and it will take some time to build the content. Your participation will ensure that the forums grow more quickly, so please – participate!

Please consider asking tech support questions in the forum. We will follow the discussions and provide helpful information and support for our customers. We also encourage you to share your experience and expertise with your colleagues.

Thanks, and we'll see you in the forum!

Nashville Area Flooding

May 4, 2010

We have escaped direct harm from the flooding. Everyone in the area will be dealing with secondary issues for the foreseeable future. Our sincere thanks go to everyone who has called and emailed to check on us.

Having experienced the previous natural disaster in this area first hand, our hearts go out to everyone who is suffering as a result of the flooding.

May 3, 2010

Sine Systems is closed today due to severe flooding in Nashville and the surrounding area. The Cumberland river is 10+ feet over flood stage, many roads are flooded and cannot be travelled safely. Sine Systems opted to keep our employees off the roads and safe today. We apologize for any inconvenience.

New Look!

January 2010

We are proud to unveil our new look. Officially this is version 3.0 of the Sine Systems web site. The first site was written in the early days of the web before Google launched and we doubt that (m)any of you ever saw it. The second version was a pre-web 2.0 design that served us well but it was becoming difficult to manage the expanding content.

Most of the previous site has been recoded but there may be a few broken links and missing pieces while we work through the final details. We ask for your patience and apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

A considerable amount of effort has gone into making the site clean, uncluttered and easy to navigate so that you can find the information you need quickly. Of course we want the site to be pleasant to look at as well. We feel that we accomplished our goals and we hope you agree.

Software for RFC-1/B

February 2009

Many customers have asked about software to program the RFC-1/B. Others have requested a logging and control software package. Both of these requests have been answered!

IntrinsicNet offers software packages that provide both a programming interface and logging and control functions for the RFC-1/B Remote Facilities Controller.

Programming Interface

The "My Sine" software package provides a window-driven programming interface for the RFC-1/B that works over both voice and data connections.

Logging and Control

The "Plus Sine" package includes the programming features of My Sine plus complete logging and control functions.

Some installations will require additional hardware to support the Plus Sine software. Software, hardware accessories and bundles are available directly from both Sine Systems and IntrinsicNet as well as through our vendors.

Analog Cellular Shutdown

January 2009

Many of you were affected by the shutdown of analog cell service in February 2008. We still receive occasional questions on this topic so we know you are out there. If you have a site without a land line and you have been desperately clinging to your bag phone the end of days has arrived.

So what now?

The end of the bag phone is unfortunate because it served many of you so well for a very long time. But all is not lost. There are digial-era devices that will fill the gap and keep your site connected. More details are available in the RFC-1/B support area.
